Opinion I tried a number of file splitters, and none of them were easy to use. I uninstalled Filesplitter 1.3 shortly after installation when it failed to properly split a 137Mb text file.

In fact, I tried to split a 44-megabyte csv file on a laptop with 1G RAM and it did not fit in the memory, so ... really don't know.

not very well engineered It would be good if it didn't try to read in the whole file before splitting it. For bigger files it's useless.

No nonsense Did what I needed it to do without any nonsense. A very nice tool.

Errormessage I was looking for software to manage very large textfiles > 5GB. Unfortunately the File Splitter did not work on my files.I got an error message saying: "Out of memory - It is STRONGLY recommended that you forward this error message to InterPlan Systems for evaluation." No email address was provided, so I didn't until now.

The ideal approach when size does not matter Does what it says it does - and quickly. Could do with a Help File.

i was looking for a tool that would split a *.m4b file (ipod audiobook), your tool seamed to create the split files just fine, but none of the files would then play. so I guess your program cannot split this kind of file.

I really like the program, and it is very fast. The only problem I had that keeps me from purchasing it, is when I split a large .mp4 file into several parts, only the first two files were viable. Any tips on what to do to have all files remain usable? I really do think it's an awesome program and the price is excellent.Tammy Kirkland

ease of use Hi FolksIs there a way to get it to work with the mouse right click tool bar? In other words can you select a file in Windows Explorer or My Computer with left mouse click and see Split it as an option with right mouse click? If the answer is yes, than I might buy your product. If not, you need to work on it.Thanks,Jerry McCallister

Important feature to be added In this Split It, there are so many features but, the main thing is to split a video file according to particular start and end time which is missing. It is splitting into equal parts which can be an option but for most usage the time frame splitting is more useful. And, regarding command line options also one of the most needed one which is not there. Please consider these issues.

Great program and does exactly what it is designed to do. I was able to transfer a 900 mbprogram from one computer to another by splitting the 900 mb program and copying to cdsand the process was painless.I know that there are other ways to transfer files but they do not lend themselves to such ease. These people deserve a pat on the back and a thank you for a job well done.

I feel great after using Gplit software free of charge. It is very easy to use without any complexities. I give you an example. I split one of my .vdi file (virtualbox file) containing Edubuntu with tons of software. The file size was about 20GB. I split it, saved it at another location then reassembled it, and run it on Virtualbox successfully.I thank your team for doing such a wonderful job.This is a great software to store large files for backups...

This is fantastic tool for Vcd cutting. Allok Video splitter is very varsatile tool for vcd cutting. I am feel great experience.

Could not find useful I tried to open and split a 100 MB file in RM format, but could not mark Start and End of the clip position by using slider. I had to wait till on itself it reaches that point. The output file is not in the format of the same RM or MP4 which I can play on my NOKIA N70 Mobile. Hope these will be resolved in the future versions.Regards.

Easy to use but results are messy When I tried cutting a 4 minute segment from a movie, only 2 minutes and 4 seconds were cut. I solved the problem by telling it to cut 2 more minutes than it would have in the first place and it came very close to where i wanted to cut the end off at so it didn't matter. If someone wanted to be really precise though, I can see where this would be a problem.

Good software - but seems to leave a false file size X kb when it should be X mb. This causes an error when uploading to YouTube. To solve this I must re-save it from QuickTime; an extra- time consuming step.Also it appears this software can no longer be purchased for 9.99; rather one must purchase split/join movie at $39.99. Sadly this resembles a bait and switch.

Does what it says! Useful and simple procedure to achieve chopping up a movie without loss of quality.It does what it says on the box..... and it does it very well!
